Financial Operations Manager (FAVD Asset Management)

I manage the financial operations and strategic administration for a high-net-worth investor focused on private equity investment and philanthropic giving. My role spans capital deployment, portfolio administration, tax preparation, nonprofit treasury, and the operational infrastructure that enables informed investment decisions and effective charitable distribution.

Core Responsibilities

Capital Deployment & Fund Management. I coordinate the execution of private equity capital calls, managing the flow of funds from investor accounts into PE partnerships. I maintain relationships with fund administrators, track capital schedules, and ensure timely and accurate deployment across a diversified portfolio of investments.

Portfolio Administration & Reconciliation. I track performance and cash flow across multiple private equity funds and co-investments. I maintain records of distributions, monitor quarterly and annual statements, reconcile accounts, and flag material changes or discrepancies that require attention.

Tax Preparation & Compliance. I gather and organize documentation for all investment income and capital events. I prepare comprehensive tax packages for complex structures (K-1s, partnership allocations, capital gains, carried interest), coordinate with CPAs and tax strategists, and ensure timely and accurate filing across federal and state requirements.

Nonprofit Treasury & Philanthropic Administration. As treasurer for family philanthropic vehicles, I manage funds dedicated to charitable giving. I oversee grant deployment, track giving to partner organizations, maintain compliance with nonprofit governance requirements, and ensure that charitable dollars are deployed in alignment with strategic intent.

Monthly Operations & Cash Flow. I manage day-to-day operational expenses, bill payment, account reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting. I maintain the financial infrastructure that allows the broader family office work to function smoothly.

What This Work Requires

This role demands precision, discretion, and a deep understanding of how complex financial structures work. I manage significant capital flows, coordinate across multiple external partners, and keep detailed records that serve as the foundation for investment and tax decisions. My work is foundational. When the systems are working well, the investment and philanthropic strategy can stay focused on strategy, not logistics.
